Ghia’s & Beers 2026

July 25 @ 11:00 am - July 26 @ 4:00 pm
£28

Summer Meetup, Camp out, BBQ

A laid-back meeting open to all club members and family friendly. Intention to be low cost with camping available on site. Clubhouse with plenty of choice. We will be able to stay for the Saturday night for a chat and drink around the bar or campsite BBQ.

Camping will need to be paid for directly to the Rugby Club nearer the time. One booking covers you and your family and friends. It is not per person. You can bring your own food to cook on the BBQ yourselves. If you want to invite a non- member, they can be accommodated but please let me know on the email if they want to show a car. More on this later.

The club will bring BBQ facilities, and you can cook your own food. The club house can also provide food and breakfast if required.

Camping wise, they have 50 tent pitches & 6 hard standing, costs will be £23.00 per grass pitch & £28.00 for hard standing with electric although depending on numbers we may be able to have a discount on camping fees. If camping is not for you there are local B&B’s a short distance away and some very nice hotels in Stow on the Wold town.

On site, simple facilities include showers, toilets and a Wi-Fi connection (around the clubhouse). Dog friendly. The clubhouse and upstairs meeting room will be open for us to use if we wish.

To book your space please email me karmann.ghia@btinternet.com Nearer the day we would like a full commitment but for now just send me a mail with the number of people and which car(s) you will come in

Timings, very approximate.

Arrive on site from 11.00 am on Saturday. Setup camp and chill-out. No formal activities planned for the day but may include

Short drive out, fun games for grown-ups (juggling, and circus skills workshop) Stow’s got talent or whatever else we can think up!

Car judging during the day

Pubs in walking distance

PM BBQ and drinks and good-humoured socialising.

Campsite

Gloucestershire family and dog friendly campsite with Cotswold Hills views. A 15-minute drive to Cotswold Farm Park; 30 minutes to Blenheim Palace. Five minutes’ drive to Stow-on-the-Wold; bus service nearby

Along with a spacious grass camping ground (as one might expect of sporting pitches). This site is in a fab location just outside the historic village of Stow-on-the Wold in Gloucestershire, making it a smashing spot for family rambles, touring and gallivanting all over the Cotswolds.

Venue address: Stow-on-the-Wold Rugby Club, Oddington Road, Stow-on-the-Wold, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL54 1JJ

Last year proved to be great fun with a good selection of cars and happy campers.
