Karmann Ghia Owners Club
Hello! We offer a warm welcome to anyone with an interest in Karmann Ghias in particular and Volkswagens in general.
We hope that – having read a little about the club and the cars – you will want to join the KGOC (GB) and link up with other like-minded automotive enthusiasts. We are a small, independent club entirely funded by members’ subscriptions and other fundraising activities.
Although our cars are precious, we hope we are not precious about our cars! We want to encompass all aspects of KG ownership; from the purists who want to see original cars to those whose interests include customisation, lowering and performance modifications.
You can benefit from joining, even if you are only thinking about buying a Karmann Ghia. Advice at this stage and access to club sales adverts in our magazine or on our website could save you a lot of money and much disappointment, for a very modest outlay.
There are many more major advantages of membership which can be viewed on the Membership Benefits page.
Have a look around – enjoy what you see – and we hope to meet up with you soon!
We welcome members from the UK and around the world. Whether you aspire to, or already own a Karmann Ghia you are most welcome. In fact if you are looking for a car then the club is a great place to find out what to look for when buying and also contact members who may be selling their car. If you have a car already then joining the club will give you access to discounts on parts, service and insurance and allow you to find out about activities you can join in with in your car. Please see the Membership page for more details.
The club participates in various events around the country. Some are VW specific and others more general. Why not see whats happening on our ‘Events’ diary and join us. We also run a major weekend event each June which is open to non-members who attend in their Karmann Ghia.
With decades of experience our members have a vast depth of knowledge about the Karmann Ghia. We can give advice on many issues and advise where to get further help if you need it. We even have a book called Techy Tips with gives some great ideas and solutions to help you get the most out of your car.
The club has two “shops”. Our main SHOP sells merchandise related to the Karmann Ghia including clothing with the club logo etc. We also stock some difficult to get parts, including remanufactured items we have arranged, or advice on where to get specific parts, and this is through our Spares Advisor.
