SUMMARY:Cruzin in Cumbria\, our 2026 International Meeting
DESCRIPTION:  \n\nTHIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY BOOKED. IF YOU WISH TO BE PUT ON THE RESERVE LIST PLEASE EMAIL international@kgoc-gb.org\n\n\n\nThe Karmann Ghia Owners Club GB and the VW Cabrio Owners Club GB are pleased to announce a joint tour meeting in June of next year.\n  \nThe event will take place over the weekend of the 12th to 14th of June 2026.\nWe will be staying in the superb Netherwood Hotel in Grange over Sands. This is based on a house built by a wealthy Victorian industrialist and set in 15 acres of gardens.  You can check it out at www.netherwood-hotel.co.uk\nPlease note the hotel is dog friendly.\n\nNetherwood Hotel\nThe event will include an informal gathering as people arrive and an evening meal in the hotel on Friday. Why not arrive early and have a look around Grange over Sands? \nOn Saturday morning we will drive to Lakeside on Lake Windermere with reserved parking\, for a cruise on one of the steamers\, visiting Bowness by boat and returning to Lakeside for lunch- collect from hotel on departure. There is also an enthusiast run railway at Lakeside for anyone who is interested. Details at www.lakesiderailway.co.uk  This is not part of our tour but is an option you can incorporate if you wish at your own cost.                        \nWindermere Cruise \nWe will then move to the Ruskin Museum at Coniston to see the history of Donald Cambell and Bluebird as well as Arthur Ransome and John Ruskin \n \nBluebird K7 \nFrom there we will drive along the shore of Lake Coniston and return back to the hotel. \nSaturday evening will feature a formal dinner and awards in the hotel\, so dress up if you like! \nOn Sunday morning we head over to Holker Hall. A superb old house with a fascinating history. We will have a guided tour of the house in smaller groups before lunch at the hall. \nHolker Hall also has a superb garden which is included in the visit and is well worth a walk around. Check it out at www.holker.co.uk \nAfter lunch our next and final stop will be at the Lakeland Motor Museum. Here we will have special parking in the display area right in front of the museum. Entry cost to the museum is not included but you can make your own arrangements.     \nCheck it out at www.lakelandmotormuseum.co.uk \nCost options are as follows:-\n\n\n\nTwo people in one car for Thursday night                                (B&B only)\n£150\n\n\nTwo people in one car for Friday & Saturday                          (Dinner B&B)\n£620\n\n\nTwo people in one car for Sunday night                                   (B&B only)\n£150\n\n\nOne person in one car for Thursday night                               (B&B only)\n£140\n\n\nOne person in one car for Friday & Saturday night                (Dinner B&B)\n£440\n\n\nOne person in one car for Sunday night                                  (B&B only)\n£140\n\n\n\nThe meeting cost will include all of the above activities\, with the option to add additional night(s) on either Thursday and/or Sunday. \nThe additional nights on Thursday and Sunday will give participants the opportunity to explore this area of the Lake District. We have deliberately avoided the main body of the Lake District on our event as it can get very busy on the weekends. So\, we thought an additional tour on Friday might be a good idea. This will be free\, but you will need to book the hotel for Thursday on your entry form. \nAdministrative details:\nSORRY\, NOW FULLY BOOKED. TO BE ADDED TO THE RESERVE LIST EMAIL international@kgoc-gb.org\nBalances must be paid by the end of April 2026 to enable us to complete the hotel booking arrangements. Anyone not making the final payment will forfeit the deposit and their place. \nJust to mention we are all volunteers organising a club meeting for fun. We can accept no responsibility for personal accident\, financial failures\, errors or omissions\, but will do our best to make it an enjoyable event for everyone. The meeting is open to members of the Karmann Ghia Owners Club GB and the Volkswagen Cabriolet Owners Club GB preferably in a KG or VW Cabrio but\, if necessary\, in another vehicle\, plus overseas visitors in their Karmann Ghias or VW Cabrios. \nBookings are being co-ordinated by Mark Poulton. \nAny questions please refer to him preferably by email at: international@kgoc-gb.org\, or tel +44 (0)7831 481603\, \nAlan and Carolyn Aspden.   \npdf of printable booking form here:  International invitation form 2026
